Oscillator and Divergence
In a nutshell, divergence trading is comparing price action and the momentum of an oscillator indicator. The oscillator indicator can be RSI (Relative Strength Index), MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence), stochastic or CCI (Commodity Channel Index), etc.
Oscillator indicator can be used as a leading indicator to provide warning on end of a trend.
Divergence with oscillator indicator provides an opportunity to buy near the bottom or to sell bear the top.
However, as said indicator is just like traffic light. You don’t stop at the traffic light always. So, wait for confirmation. Confirmation helps to reduce the risk.
