Set Your Goal!

October 25, 2014

In addition to all the trading techniques and strategies, one very important question you need to answer before starts any trade. That is the time horizon. Are you an investor or trader? Do you plan to invest nine (9) to twelve (12) months or longer? Are you only interested short term, such as two (2) to six (6) weeks or even much shorter less than a few days? Whatever timeframe you choose, it is important to find out the direction of the market; uptrend or downtrend. Or it is bull or bear market at the moment. Of course, it is wise to buy in a bull market. But, remember bull or bear, buy or sell make money.

If you could not figure out bull or bear market, or uptrend or downtrend, it will be wise to stand aside.

In short, define your trading or investment goal (objective). Although we say let the profit run. This is the fundamental, but no guru covers this topic. Without the right trading psychology, what can happen? Needed to say, you do not when when to pull a break!
