Do spend some time to understand the chart.

Moving Averages

Moving average is a powerful visual tool. Price action bounced above the MAs, when the trend is bullish. Price action bounced below MAs, when the trend is bearish.

Raghee Horner’s 34EMA Wave

Raghee Horner instead of using one moving average, she uses two of the same moving average. She uses the high and low of the price.

Raghee Horner first started publicly sharing the “34EMA Wave” back in 1997 when she started trading e-mini S&P futures. Raghee is a self taught trader. 34 EMA makes up of High and Low of 34 Exponential Moving Averages. The wave look likes a river, it is also called River at time.

Classic Chart Patterns: Gartley’s AB=CD Pattern

AB=CD Pattern Structure, The pattern can be found in all markets on all time frames. The pattern is a measured move where the second leg is “equal” to the first leg. However, it should be noted that the C-D leg can extend and will not always be exactly “equal.”

The pattern comes about in 1935, H M Gartley’s book, Profit in the Stock Market. In that book, he describes a chart pattern, Practical Use of Trend Lines, and now known as AB=CD Pattern, or nickname Lightning Bolt (see insert diagram to see why).

Larry Pesavento has published many articles about H M Gartley’s pattern and AB = CD.
