Technology and Price

With the network connectivity such as Internet, technology such as powerful server, data base and complex programming result have changes the landscape of trading. Today, the market react to economic news in a fraction of second. This is also resulting into sometimes it is impossible to understand the raise and falls of a stock. Plus today, the introduction in intervention from the exchanges. No one can predict the outcome.

Money Inflow and Money Outflow

Stock price goes up because of inflow of money. Stock price goes down because the money left, outflow of money. Stock market is competing with others financial market such as bonds, currency market. When commodity such as oil price comes down, the money will flow into stocks and currency. This may explain a bit on why Index and US currency keeps climbing. There is a demand for stocks and US dollars.

Big Picture

If anyone are wise enough and star to invest in stock market. He or she will probably in a very good position today. In fact, if you will look at the prime interest rate, the rate has been around 3.25 since December 2008, see Prime Interest Rate History from http://www.fedprimerate.com. Where will the money go, stock market is definitely a good place to yield. Having said that, it is easy to say then done.
