US Fed Rate Hike

The Sibor, Singapore interbank offered rate is typically highly correlated with US interest rates.

Given current lacking in vitality for business and consumer spending, higher interest rates could further dampen spending and weigh on companies’ investment plans.

In addition, higher US interest rates also raise chance for capital outflows.

 

After a two days meeting in New York, the Fed has finally approve the rate hike. Although the hike has been expected for months.
