Dow Theory 

Dow Theory is an analysis that explores the relationship between the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) and the Dow Jones Transportation (DJT).
When one of these averages climbs to a high, then the other is expected to follow within a reasonable amount of time.

The Dow Theory is an approach on trading developed by Charles H. Dow. Charles Dow with Edward Jones and Charles Bergstresser founded Dow Jones & Company Inc. and developed the Dow Jones Industrial Average, ^DJI. The theory was published on the Wall Street Journal,  in 1900. The journal was ended when Charles Dow death in 1902.
