Singapore Stocks Straits Times Index

It is good to look at the chart for clue than hear the gossip from market. True! True? See the Straits Times Index for details.

If you recall our earlier analysis on China stock market, Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index only started the declined in mid June. However, from the chart you can see Straits Times index, the first declined started since mid April 2015 and followed the bigger descend after mid July 2015.

So, while everyone worry about China, why not look at own market like Singapore stock market.

 

Of course, China is now have weighted in the world economy.

Look Back

If you will look back,China only starts the roller coaster down from mid June 2015. However, STI has started drifting south since mid April, 2015. The bull try to fight back in July, 2015 but just too weak to move north. The bull get run over by the bears.

 

So, do not just join the gossip that China lead the down turn. Picture worth a thousand words, Singapore economy has already showing weakness well before the China bear stepping over STI.
