Moses’ US Stock MACD Stock Screening

Moses at AmiBrokerAcademy.com uses charting software AmiBorker and AmiBroker’s AFL to screen through 6,300 stocks store in the database. These data comes from yahoo! Finance web portal. AmiBroker has a tool, AmiQuote to retrieve the data from Yahoo! Finance and store on the database on your pc local hard drive. Yahoo! Fiance provides free stock data for most of the stock exchange around the world.

 Why USE AFL?

Unless you have some stock in mind, and you keep monitor and analyse the stock chart. Otherwise, as a trader to identify stock have recently move and some directional signals. This is not an easy task. Therefore, there are many traders rely on community in facebook or certain social media group to get clue.

What if you are not in any of such group, can you do something about it. Yes you can. You can rely on script such as MACD screening script to identify those stocks that have MACD signals.

In the script, you can further refine your choice by limited the volume, the stock price and period.

In the case of the US stocks, the local database has six thousand plus stocks store. And it takes less than ten (10) minutes to screen through the entire database.

In fact, AmiBroker has a library that has many different script that stores. You can test them out and pick the one that close to your trading style.

Have fun learning.
